VDA has said that the height of new houses and high-rise buildings to be built within 20 km radius from Babatpur Airport will not exceed 192 meters. A color code zone map has been prepared for this. A total of seven categories have been created. Of these, the height of construction has been fixed in six areas. Whereas for construction in the seventh category, it is mandatory to obtain permission from the Airport Authority of India.
The height of the old construction will be reduced under the provisions of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (Height Restrictions for Protection of Aircraft Operations) Rules, 2020. An action plan has been made for this. Under this, VDA and airport officials will inspect the area every week. During this, the houses and buildings whose height will be higher will be marked.
