Baby John Flop: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan’s film Baby John has been released in theaters on the occasion of Christmas. Fans had high expectations from this film of Varun Dhawan but it proved to be a flop at the box office. Baby John is an action-packed film and it is directed by Atlee Kumar. People thought that Atlee would make Varun Dhawan a star with Baby John but that did not happen. This has proved to be one of the most flop films of Varun Dhawan’s career. Now the trade analyst has told what was the reason behind the flop of this film.
Baby John was made with a budget of Rs 180 crore. This film has been able to collect only Rs 35 crore at the box office. The film flopped so badly that it could not even collect half of the budget.
This is why it flopped
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said – The industry thinks that this genre will work but in this case the audience has rejected this film. Otherwise, the opening of this film was going to be great because it is releasing on Christmas. Till the New Year, people are in a celebratory mood and celebrate many holidays. Somewhere people also feel that Varun Dhawan did not live up to the expectations.
Trade analyst Atul Mohan said – Ever since the film was announced, the excitement about it had increased among people because Varun Dhawan was in it and it was going to be a masala film. Also, Atlee’s name was associated with it, so the expectations increased further. But when the trailer arrived, it went down. This is not the fault of the film but a failure of marketing.
Producer expenses increased
Atul further said- The fate of the film is decided after the release of the film. But before the release, the marketing team failed to excite the audience so that they would buy tickets on the first day. It is a masala film, but the makers released romantic songs. Varun was also shown doing comedy in the asset. The city tour was of no use. The producer’s expenses increased without any reason. Baby John is now taking baby steps at the box office instead of leaps and bounds on its release day.
Let us tell you that Keerthy Suresh and Vamika Gabbi have been seen in lead roles along with Varun in Baby John. The acting of Kirti and Vamika in the film has been liked a lot.
