Ingredients to make Bajra Khichdi
Millet – 1/2 cup
Moong dal yellow – 1/2 cup
Desi ghee – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Cumin – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
salt – as per taste

How to make Bajra Khichdi
To make Bajra Khichdi full of taste and nutrition, first clean the millet and soak it in water for 8-9 hours. After the fixed time, remove the excess water of the millet with the help of a strainer. Now put soaked millet, moong dal and a little salt in a pressure cooker. After this, put 2 cups of water in the cooker and cook them till 4 whistles come. After this, turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.

Now take a deep bottomed nonstick pan and put ghee in it and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds. When the cumin starts crackling, add a pinch of asafoetida and turmeric to it, mix well with the help of a ladle and fry. When the spices are roasted, add the mixture of boiled millet and moong dal to it and mix well. After this add salt as per taste to the khichdi and mix it well. Let the khichdi cook for 2-3 more minutes, after that turn off the gas. Flavorful Bazar Khichdi is ready. Serve it hot only.
