Gang members from Uttar Pradesh had committed theft in a jewelery shop in Balaghat district. The jewelery shop was raided by his friend, who used to sell Phulki. Police have arrested seven accused involved in the crime and recovered stolen goods from them.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Dabar, unknown thieves had raided the jewelery shop of Ashish Urkud in Never village area on the night of 6-7 January. The thieves had taken with them jewelery worth Rs 6 to 7 lakh. Police investigated the matter and obtained information from RTO and toll post regarding CCTV footage and the vehicle used in the incident. After this, police Rizwan Shah (25) resident of district Jalaun, Ramjani Mansoori (25) resident of district Jalaun, Mohammad Imran (25) of district Jalaun, Iqbal Muslim (29) resident of Buxar district Hapur, Abhishek (21) resident of district Jalaun, Ravi father Mahendra Kumar Pal (23), resident of district Jalaun, taken into custody.
During interrogation, the accused told that Kamlesh Sharma (48), who has been living in Varasivani for the last 20 years, is originally a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He sells Phulki and after raiding the jewelers shop, he had called them for the crime. Police have arrested all the accused and registered a case against them. The accused will be taken on remand for questioning in connection with several thefts that took place in the district.
