At the same time, BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel four-wheelers will not run. To enforce the system, 84 teams of transport department and 280 teams of traffic police have been deployed.
On Friday, Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a high-level meeting to review the situation after the implementation of GRAP-3. In this, instructions were given to the officials to take necessary steps. According to Gopal Rai, 106 shuttle bus service is being started to promote public transport. Private construction and demolition work has been banned in Delhi. There will be a ban on vehicles that do not meet the standards. If anyone violates this, a fine of Rs 20,000 will be imposed. 65 MRS machines are being run by MCD for mechanized cleaning of roads. Now their timings have been increased from 6 am to 4 pm.
These projects got exemption
Projects of metro and rail services and stations, airports and interstate bus terminals, national security and defense related activities, hospitals and health care facilities of national importance, linear public projects such as highways, roads, flyovers, over bridges, power transmission and distribution, pipelines. , telecommunication services (only for non-open works), sewage treatment plants and water supply projects etc. are exempted.
