The husband, distressed by the murder of his wife in Banda district, died during treatment in Kanpur. The son has performed his last rites. Gomti, a resident of Shahpur Sani village of Badausa police station area, was murdered by her daughter-in-law Gudiya alias Saroja on September 25 by hitting her on the head with a millstone due to a domestic dispute. Gomti’s husband Omkar had filed a murder case against her daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law is in jail. Son Rohit told that father Omkar had become distressed after the murder of mother Gomti.

When his health suddenly deteriorated, he was taken to Banda District Hospital. From there the doctor referred him to Kanpur. Died late on Saturday night during treatment in Kanpur. On Sunday, Rohit reached the village with Omkar’s body. He lit the funeral pyre of his father. Rohit told that his wife is in jail for murdering her mother. Father also left.
