The son died of a heart attack during the mother’s funeral. The family members are inconsolable due to two simultaneous deaths in the family. Punia Devi (80), resident of Samra village of Dehat Kotwali area, died on Tuesday evening due to old age. His son Rattulal (40) was performing the last rites of his body in his field on Wednesday morning. Relatives and village people were also present.

Before lighting the funeral pyre, Rattulal suddenly felt severe chest pain. When he became unconscious, his family took him to Tindwari PHC. There the doctors declared him dead. The hospital staff sent a memo to the police about his death.
There is a possibility of death due to heart attack. Rattulal used to support his family of four daughters and one son by farming. Rural police station in-charge Sukhram Singh said that due to sudden death, post-mortem of the body will be conducted. So that the exact cause of death can be clarified.
