BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj’s lawyer filed some documents and argued in Rouse Avenue Court. Her lawyer said that this complaint is politically motivated and the complainant is using it for election purposes. Satyendra Jain was in custody in this case. After hearing the arguments, the court has adjourned the case for further hearing on January 22, 2025.

Former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain had filed a defamation complaint against BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj. Jain alleged in his complaint that Swaraj had made derogatory remarks against him during a TV interview on October 5, 2023, which was watched by millions of people.

It is alleged that Bansuri’s comments during a TV interview have tarnished his reputation. He has claimed that Bansuri Swaraj’s comments were meant to defame him and gain unfair political advantage. According to Jain, Swaraj falsely claimed that Rs 3 crore, 1.8 kg of gold and 133 gold coins were recovered from her residence. He clarified that these allegations were baseless and politically motivated to malign his image. Jain claimed that Swaraj had further defamed Jain by calling him corrupt and deceitful.
