Rainfall has broken records in Bareilly. After eight years, record rainfall was recorded in the first week of July. In the year 2016, 286.6 mm of rain fell between 1st and 7th July, while this year this figure was recorded at 232.8 mm. The sequence of rains that has been going on for the last seven days continued on Monday. Amidst the rain, the people of the city are facing the problem of waterlogging. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather till 11th July.
According to the data received from the Meteorological Department, an average of 135.2 mm of rain falls from July 1 to 7. In the year 2016, 286.6 mm of rain fell during this period. This year, 232.8 mm of rain has fallen during this period. This is 97.6 mm more than the average. According to meteorologist Atul Kumar, this time the activity of the disturbance has increased due to cyclonic conditions entering from two directions.
The sequence of rains is continuing. There is also intermittent rainfall. The situation was the same in the year 2016. According to the Meteorological Department, the western disturbance will remain active on Monday as well. There are chances of light to moderate rain. The sky is likely to be clear on Tuesday when a high pressure area is formed.
