BCCI Official Reacts To Rumors On Secretary Jay Shah To Visit Pakistan For Asia Cup


BCCI On Jay Shah Pakistan Visit: All cricket lovers are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the Asia Cup 2023 schedule. There was a discussion between the BCCI and the PCB during the ICC meeting in Durban regarding this issue, after which the schedule of the tournament will be announced soon. Zaka Ashraf, the new head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, has now given his consent for the hybrid model of the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, after this meeting in the Pakistani media, news also surfaced that BCCI secretary Jai Shah would visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup matches.

Now regarding these rumours, it has been clarified by the BCCI that neither the Indian team will visit Pakistan during the Asia Cup nor will the secretary Jai Shah go to Pakistan. IPL chairman Arun Dhumal while giving a statement on this whole issue said that no such thing happened. The Indian team or our secretary will not go to Pakistan. Only the schedule of the Asia Cup has been fixed.

Arun Dhumal told about this meeting regarding the Asia Cup that the BCCI secretary met PCB chief Zaka Ashraf and the schedule of the Asia Cup has been finalised. As discussed earlier about this tournament, the talk continues on the same. There will be four matches of the league round in Pakistan, while 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan has hosting rights

The upcoming Asia Cup is to be organized from 31 August to 17 September. During this, Pakistan will be able to play only 1 match in its country, which can be against Nepal. Apart from this, the other 3 matches can be between Afghanistan vs Bangladesh, Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan.
