Just 18 years old student has become mayor in America. He is the first black student of America to become mayor at such a young age. This student had made many promises before the elections. In the election promise, this student had said that he would deploy more police on the streets. Also will re-open a much needed supermarket in the area. This student has completed high school in May this year.
Jaylen Smith of Arkansas, US, contested as a Democrat in her local town of Earle, which has 1,800 residents. He defeated Superintendent Nami Mathews by 235 votes against 185. He promised to improve the city’s drainage, create new jobs, put more police on the streets and improve public transport, as well as bring local supermarkets to the area.
