Test debut in Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Surya made his Test debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that started on 9 March. He got the test cap in the first match of the series played in Nagpur. Surya could score only 8 runs in his debut test. After this he was dropped from the team. Surya has now become the player to play all three formats for the Indian team.
