The victim ward member has been taken into police custody

Fed up with the administrative attitude in Begusarai, a ward member tried to commit suicide in front of the DM office. However, Begusarai SP Manish came to know about it in time. After that, he immediately instructed the city police station and the said person was immediately taken into custody. At present, he is being questioned. The person taken into custody has been identified as Vinod Kumar, resident of Man Sherpur, Shadipur of Ballia subdivision area.
According to the information, Vinod Kumar is also a local ward member. He has alleged that 13 kattha of land in his village is non-cultivated common land, which has been forcefully occupied by the strongmen. Vinod Kumar is demanding only three kattha of land in public interest, on which a road can be built. But the strongmen refused to vacate that too.
Victim Vinod Kumar said that the then CO tried to cover up the matter. When the matter went to court, the court also gave its decision in favour of Vinod Kumar. But the district administration did not implement it. Despite submitting applications continuously, there has been no hearing till now. Therefore, out of frustration, he decided to commit suicide. At present, Vinod Kumar has been taken into custody and is being questioned. The administration has also assured action soon.
