A young man riding a bike died on the spot after being hit by a truck in Bettiah. While another young man is seriously injured. After the incident, there was chaos at the spot for hours. The incident took place at the cantonment Gumti of the district. The deceased has been identified as Aryan Kumar (19), son of Ramayan Sah, resident of Hazma Tola Ward-27 of Banuchhappar police station area. While the injured youth is Gulfran Alam (27), son of Akil Mir, resident of cantonment of Manuapul police station area, who worked as a plumber. After the incident, the local people started protesting by arson.
Here, the angry people present at the spot said that the work of the overbridge is going on for the last five years. The road under the overbridge has become very bad. But the company does not get it repaired, due to which accidents keep happening every day. The road will remain blocked until the road is not constructed. On the other hand, Road Safety Manager Shashi Kumar also reached the spot after getting information about the matter. The angry people told that the road is broken near the spot. The truck was loaded with goods, perhaps due to this the truck could not stop on time and the young man died due to the collision. After the death of the young man, an atmosphere of tension prevailed at the spot. On getting information, police from six police stations reached the spot. Then the people were pacified by explaining them.
According to the information, Gulfran had gone to Aryan’s house to do plumbing work. After finishing the work, Aryan was going to drop him at the cantonment. On the way, the gate at the railway crossing was closed. Both of them were sitting on the bike waiting for it to open. Meanwhile, an uncontrolled truck hit them, after which both the youths got stuck with the bike between the truck and the pillar of the overbridge. There was a commotion at the spot and they could not be taken out for 30 minutes. By then Aryan had died.
