Bangladeshi Infiltrating In Kishanganj: Police arrested four Bangladeshi nationals on Thursday from Bihar’s Kishanganj railway station. Railway Protection Force (RPF) Inspector B. M. Dhar told that the arrested Bangladeshi citizens did not have any luggage or identity card. He told that these Bangladeshi nationals, claiming themselves to be residents of the neighboring state of West Bengal, told during interrogation that they were waiting for the train to Amritsar.
However, after further investigation, he admitted that he crossed the border fence late on Tuesday night when no BSF personnel were around and reached Kishanganj by hitchhiking to catch a train, the RPF inspector said.
All are from Thakurpur district of Bangladesh
The inspector told that one of them who had earlier admitted to crossing the border is a resident of Thakurpur district of Bangladesh and his name is Azizul. The remaining three Suman Das, Amol Chandra Burman and Ravindra Chandra Burman are all residents of the same district and this was their first visit to India. Three mobile phones were recovered from these Bangladeshi nationals, out of which two were without SIM cards. Apart from this, some Indian currency was also recovered from them.
He said that after arresting them, the information about this matter was also given to the higher authorities. After this Deputy Superintendent of Police Railway Avinash Das arrived from Katihar for further investigation and action. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
Kishanganj a haven for Bangladeshi infiltrators
Please tell that Kishanganj falls in Seemanchal of Bihar and it is very sensitive in terms of infiltration. There is a lot of infiltration here. The situation can be gauged from the fact that from 1951 to 2011, while the share of Muslims in the total population of the country has increased by four per cent, in Seemanchal this figure is about 16 per cent. Kishanganj is such a district of Bihar, where Hindus have become a minority. It is said that all this happened because of Bangladeshi infiltration. According to the 2011 census, the population of Muslims in Kishanganj was 67.58 percent, while Hindus remained only 31.43 percent. In Katihar, the Muslim population is 44.47, in Araria 42.95 and in Purnia it is 38.46 percent.
