In Bihar, the husband along with his brother killed his wife. After the murder, they took her body 80 km away from the house and dumped it and lodged an FIR by spreading the rumour that the wife had eloped with her lover. The incident took place in Chatia Diara of Motihari district.

Rumors spread after killing his wife
Regarding the incident, the police said that the incident took place on July 19. After killing his wife in Diyara, 80 km away, the husband buried her body. The police have arrested the deceased’s mother-in-law and her brother-in-law in this case. Regarding the incident, Sadar SDPO Vivek Deep said that on July 19, a woman registered a case of her daughter-in-law’s disappearance. She wrote in her application that her daughter-in-law has run away with her lover. The police started the investigation and during the investigation, the police reached the woman’s maternal home. At the maternal home, the police came to know that everything is not well between the husband and wife. The woman has filed a maintenance case in the court. On suspicion, the police took the woman’s brother-in-law Ranjit Sahni into custody on Saturday, July 27 and interrogated him. During interrogation, Ranjit told that he, along with his brother, strangled his sister-in-law to death and buried the body in Chatiya Diyara of Malahi police station area of East Champaran.
He took his wife away on the pretext of buying land
The arrested Ranjit also told the police that the woman’s husband was living in Bengaluru for the last 3 years. The whole family was upset with his wife. Meanwhile, Bhaiya made a plan to kill her. According to the plan, he bought a phone on July 4 and sent it to Bhabhi through someone. After this, the conversation between the two started. Bhaiya called Bhabhi to Chapwa in East Champaran after coming home from Bengaluru on July 19 as per the plan. Ranjit told the police that on the pretext of buying land, all three people went to Chatiya Diara of Malahi police station area of Motihari on the same bike. Where Bhaiya caught Bhabhi and strangled her to death. After this, they threw the body there and buried it and returned and went to Bengaluru. The police recovered the body on Sunday on the directions of Ranjit. After postmortem, the body was handed over to the parents.
