In Aurangabad, people tied the lovers to an electric pole and first beat them badly and then got them married. The incident happened in a village in Nabi Nagar. Regarding the incident, the villagers told that the lovers were meeting in the dark of the night. Meanwhile, the villagers caught both of them red-handed in an objectionable state. Seeing both of them in this condition, the villagers pounced on them. The villagers tied both of them to an electric pole. This incident immediately spread like wildfire in the whole village. On getting information about the incident, the family members of the lovers reached the spot.
Panchayat was held after the beating
The family members pleaded to let them go but the villagers were not ready to listen. Then a Panchayat was held. In the Panchayat, the families of both agreed to get them married. After this, the local priests got them married in the village temple without any Muhurat. During this, the women of the village sang wedding songs who had scolded them after knowing about their misdeed. After the wedding, along with other people of the village, those villagers also blessed the newly married couple for a happy married life who had beaten them after catching them red-handed in the dark of the night.
The police mediated
The local people informed the local police about the incident. As soon as the police got information about the incident, they reached the spot. The police took the law in their hands and also took a picture of the lovers tied to the pole but later withdrew from the case after both the families agreed for the marriage. After the marriage, the girlfriend happily went with her boyfriend to his house, i.e. her in-laws’ house. Then everyone went back to their homes happily.
