Bihar BPSC Candidates Protest Congress Says police did not spare anyone Attack On Nitish Kumar


Congress On BPSC Candidates Protest: Police on Sunday (December 29, 2024) lathicharged on protesters demanding cancellation of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE). Police also used water cannon to disperse the candidates protesting at JP Roundabout near Hotel Maurya in Patna. Congress targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the matter.

According to the report of Indian Express, on the call of ‘Student Parliament’ of Jan Suraj Party (JSP) founder Prashant Kishor, thousands of BPSC candidates gathered at Gandhi Maidan early in the morning and staged a protest near JP Gol Chakkar in the state capital Patna. He demanded re-examination of the 70th BPSC preliminary examination.

BPSC candidates, adamant on their demand to meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to discuss the deadlock, broke two barricades installed by the police near JP Gol Chakkar. There was also a clash between policemen and BPSC candidates at Gandhi Maidan. The police resorted to lathicharge to disperse the protesters.

Case registered against Prashant Kishore

At the same time, a case has been registered against Prashant Kishore as well as the state president of Jan Suraj Party. A case has been registered against them under many serious sections like instigating the candidates, bringing them on the streets and creating ruckus. More than 19 people including Prashant Kishore have been made accused. More than 600 unidentified people have been made accused because the administration had not given permission for the demonstration at Gandhi Maidan.
