Big news is coming out from Gaya district of Bihar. CBI has arrested two agents including DSP of NIA for taking bribe of Rs 20 lakh. This case pertains to former JDU MLC Manorama Devi. On September 19, the NIA team had raided the house of former JDU MLC Manorama Devi located in AP Colony of Gaya city. During the raid, Rs 4.3 crore in cash and several weapons were recovered. The raid was conducted under the leadership of DSP Ajay Pratap Singh of NIA Patna branch.
A bribe of Rs 2.5 crore was demanded
A bribe of Rs 2.5 crore was demanded by the DSP by threatening to implicate him in a Naxalite case. Rocky Yadav, owner of Ramaiya Construction, had accused NIA DSP Ajay Pratap Singh of demanding bribe. Complaint about this was made to CBI. After this complaint was confirmed in the investigation, the CBI team arrested two agents of DSP from Gaya late on Thursday night with a bribe of Rs 20 lakh. NIA DSP Ajay Pratap Singh has been arrested from Patna. CBI also raided the DSP’s house and the houses of his relatives in UP.

Ravindra Yadav, PA of former JDU MLC Manorama Devi, has expressed apprehension that a powerful RJD leader may be behind the NIA raid. A bribe of Rs 2.5 crore was demanded in the name of implicating him in Naxal activity and providing relief to Rocky Yadav. Under this, the CBI team has arrested two agents of DSP from Gaya for taking the first installment of bribe of Rs 20 lakh. The CBI team included 6 SP and 4 DSP rank officers.
