A meeting was held with bankers, street vendors, stake holders, schools and coaching institutes regarding Mission Total Segregation in Patna’s Housing Board under the chairmanship of Bihar’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitin Naveen. Where the minister described the ‘My City-My Accountability’ campaign as a panacea for making Patna clean. He said that this campaign is also very important to protect the city from the outbreak of dengue. During the meeting, Patna’s Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Municipal Commissioner and other officials were present.
During this, the minister said that 70 percent of people have joined the cleanliness campaign due to door-to-door garbage collection. Cleanliness is in the culture of the city residents, they just have to bring it in their thoughts and actions. Public participation is necessary to make this campaign successful. He said that our target is to include Patna in the top-10 clean cities by the Chhath festival. For this, all bankers and street vendors and banks should create awareness by putting banners outside their shops and schools outside their classes. It is the responsibility of all of us to keep the city clean. Therefore, everyone has to take responsibility themselves.
At the same time, the minister appealed to everyone to run a cleanliness campaign in their home, area and ward and post it on social media. He also said that it is very important to involve children in this campaign, because if the house can become clean with the participation of children, then the city will also become clean. If the children of every house become aware of this campaign, then our society will definitely become aware. At the same time, during the meeting, the minister also invited everyone to the program to be held in Bapu Auditorium of Patna on 19 September.
Mission Total Segregation will be started by His Excellency the Governor from 19th
Under “My City My Accountability”, Patna Municipal Corporation is connecting the citizens of the city with the cleanliness drive. This drive will begin from Gyan Bhawan on September 19 in the presence of His Excellency the Governor. Under this, various government and non-government institutions and social institutions, hotels, hospitals, business associates and school college students are also being included in “Mission Total Segregation”.
To make this mission successful, Patna Nagar Nigam will train sanitation inspectors, drivers, helpers and mobilizers. This is the first time that along with the driver and helper, an additional person will also accompany the vehicles of Patna Nagar Nigam, who is being included in the team as a mobilizer. This team will go door to door and make people aware.
