Bihar Congress: The Congress has made it clear that in the Bihar assembly elections going to be held at the end of the year, it will contest elections with its old colleague RJD. However, the Congress did not clear its stand to make Tejashwi the CM candidate. For the past few days, there was a discussion of sourness in the relationship between Congress and RJD.
No confusion about alliance- Congress
After a meeting of senior leaders of Bihar Congress with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) in Delhi, Krishna Allavaru and state president Rajesh Ram said, “We will meet the BJP and his allies. There is no confusion about the alliance.” India will remain in the form of alliance in Bihar. However, Congress leaders did not claim any claims about the number of seats.
Congress leaders complain of RJD
According to sources, in the meeting of Bihar Congress, some leaders, including the state president, complained about not getting respect from RJD. On this, Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the Congress will contest elections with RJD and also said that respect is achieved in politics. The Congress high command directed the state leadership to prepare for the seats and candidates, so that 90 percent of the candidates can be announced three months before the election.
Pappu Yadav was not invited
Along with the in -charge and the state president, former state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh has also been instructed to talk about seats with RJD. The important thing is also that Pappu Yadav was not invited to the meeting of Bihar leaders. In the press conference too, the leaders opted out of speaking something about Pappu Yadav. It is believed that this stance of the Congress is an attempt to fix the relationship with RJD.
According to Congress sources, there will be a respectable alliance with RJD. Last time the Congress contested 70 seats. Since the performance of the Congress was not good, this time it is likely to get less seats beforehand, but Congress sources believe that at least 60 seats should be given. According to a leader, only a respectable alliance will be formed.
Congress statement on Tejashwi Yadav’s CM face
Regarding Tejashwi Yadav’s CM candidature, the Congress in -charge said, “When there is a meeting, it will be decided who will be the CM? Whether to declare CM? It will not be right to say anything right now.” Although Congress sources say that there is no problem in this, but some leaders in the party are of the opinion that the Congress should demand the post of deputy CM.
Recently, the Congress has changed in -charge and state president in Bihar. A journey is also being taken out on the issue of migration and employment led by youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar. Rahul Gandhi has gone to Patna twice this year and he is going to have another program in April. Overall, the Congress seems to be fully active in Bihar, but its first test is that how many seats it can get from RJD according to her mind.
