On Saturday, a bloody clash took place in Banraha village of Phulwaria police station area of Gopalganj district of Bihar over asking the reason for the beating of children. The assailants attacked four people including three women with rods and bricks, leaving them bleeding. The people nearby admitted the four seriously injured to the local Marchia Devi Referral Hospital, Phulwaria for treatment. Where after providing first-aid, the doctors seeing the critical condition of a woman, referred her to Sadar Hospital, Gopalganj for better treatment. The injured include Majboon Khatoon, Sahil, Hasbun Khatoon and Sahima Khatoon, residents of Banraha village.
Regarding this incident, the injured woman Majbun Khatoon has lodged a complaint in the police station against three people including her own neighbor Mohammad Ansari. She has alleged that my son Sahil was beaten up by Roz Mohammad’s son without any reason. When I went to ask about this, all the above mentioned people started abusing me. When I protested against the abuse, they attacked me with deadly force. I was continuously attacked with pressure with the intention of taking my life. My head got cracked due to the pressure, I got a cut under my eye and the left side of my nose was also cut. I was covered in blood. After this, I fell unconscious on the ground. Seeing me falling on the ground, my sister Hasbun Khatoon and my sister-in-law Sahima Khatoon, who came to intervene, were also attacked with pressure and bricks by those people with the intention of killing them, in which the leg got cut.
He alleged that in the meantime those people forcibly snatched the gold chain and earring from my neck. He also alleged that those attackers are in cahoots with goons and criminals. They can kill my son Sahil and me anytime. After receiving the written complaint, the police has started investigating the case.
