Munshi Shahnawaz Khan, who was abducted by armed Naxalites of CPI Maoist organization on Sunday night near Asurain bridge of Lutua police station area in Gaya district, has not been found even for the third day. However, according to information received from police sources, the police have picked up some suspicious youth after the incident. At the same time, the police is interrogating the suspicious youth by taking him into custody.
Let us tell you that a ransom of Rs 30 lakh was demanded by the Naxalites within 24 hours. Such an incident has been carried out by rewarded Naxalite Vivek Yadav. After the 24-hour ultimatum has passed, the concern of the family members of the kidnapped clerk has increased. After the kidnapping, a search operation is being conducted by Cobra Battalion, CRPF and Bihar Police personnel in and around the forests of Lutua.
Till Wednesday morning, no trace of Munshi Shahnawaz Khan could be found. Even after 48 hours, the police are empty handed. On Saturday evening, Gaya SSP Ashish Bharti, City SP and Naxal Operations SP Mukesh Saveriya reached Lutua forest and investigated the incident. At the same time, the police force involved in the search operation is taking every step carefully in the forest areas. The entry route is being checked with metal detectors. Before this, incidents of ID blast have also happened several times during search operations.
Naxal Operations SP Mukesh Sewaria said that continuous search operations are being conducted at the hideouts of Naxalites for the safe recovery of Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. The police is making every effort to bring back the kidnapped youth as soon as possible. During this time, some suspicious boys have been picked up and are being interrogated.
Naxalites have demanded ransom of Rs 30 lakh
A bridge is being constructed near Asurain in Lota police station area of Banke Bazaar at a cost of about Rs 2 crore. Naxalites have demanded Rs 30 lakh as extortion money from the contractor of the original construction company. Late Sunday evening, around three armed Naxalites had abducted two laborers including Munshi Shahnawaz Khan. Later the workers were beaten and left in the forest. However, the Naxalites took Munshi Shahnawaz with them. According to sources, the Naxalite squad also included Naxalite Vivek Yadav, who had a reward of Rs 3 lakh and ransom has been demanded from him.
