In Siwan, criminals shot and injured a gold merchant. This incident happened late last night. The injured has been identified as Chandan Prasad, a resident of Sani Basantpur village of GB Nagar Tarawara police station area. However, it is not yet clear how much money and gold and silver has been looted.
According to the information, the gold merchant has a gold and silver shop in Jagdishpur. He was returning home after closing the shop around 10:00 pm last night. Then some criminals started chasing him on a bike. When the gold merchant got suspicious, he sped up his motorcycle and started running towards home. As soon as they reached about 100 meters from the house, the criminals, seeing their failure in the robbery, fired bullets at the businessman, due to which the gold merchant got hit by two bullets. After that he fell with the motorcycle. Meanwhile, the criminals fled with a bag full of gold and silver. After that, the local people admitted the injured to Siwan Sadar Hospital for treatment. Where the doctors, seeing his critical condition, referred him to Gorakhpur.
It is noteworthy that in Siwan district, criminals have carried out half a dozen incidents of firing one after the other within 25 days, in which some people have died and some are still fighting for their lives. At the same time, as soon as Siwan’s new MP Vijaylakshmi Kushwaha got information about the robbery and firing incident with a gold businessman late last night, she immediately reached Siwan Sadar Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured. Her husband Ramesh Singh Kushwaha said that this incident has not happened due to any election rivalry. Rather, most of the incidents of firing that are happening these days are related to land. Nowadays, even small criminals are involved in land work and are carrying out such incidents. But no criminal involved in the incident that has happened today will be spared.
On receiving the information about the firing incident, DSP Ajay Kumar who reached the hospital said that the injured person’s statement has been recorded. Action is being taken on that basis. The criminals will be caught soon.
