A brutal news has come to light in Bettiah. An 8th class student has been gang-raped. It is said that the student was returning home after giving the annual examination of class 8th. Then around 2:30 pm on Thursday afternoon, four boys gang-raped a minor girl near Jabdaul Canal.

Kumarbagh police station reached the spot after getting information about the incident and got the girl student admitted to GMCH with the help of her family members. Once the condition becomes normal, his statement will be recorded and sent to the concerned police station for further action.

Victim’s relatives and villagers

The mother of the student at GMCH told that her daughter had gone to give the annual examination at ten in the morning at a school located at a distance of about one and a half kilometers from the village. She was returning home after giving the exam. As soon as Jabdaul reached near the canal, Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Jabdaul Dubey Tola village, and his three other friends, who were ambushed from the east, surrounded her, took her in a flute and raped her one by one. The girl’s family and villagers told that the girl remained unconscious for about an hour at the spot of the incident. First information was given to 112 police team. After that it was given to Kumarbagh police station. The villagers alleged that the distance of the incident site was two to two and a half kilometers from the police station. Despite this, she reached the spot one hour late. There is a lot of anger among the villagers regarding the working style of the police.

GMCH Superintendent Dr. Sudha Bharti said that the police has admitted the student to GMCH in an unconscious state. There are deep wounds on the face and neck. Two stitches have also been placed on the lip. His condition remains critical. Here, Police Station Head Devendra Kumar has said that two accused are being detained and interrogated. He declined to reveal the names of the detained boys. It is said that when the children nearby saw it, they informed their family members. On receiving information, the victim’s father and cousin brother reached the spot. Meanwhile, Pradeep and his friends tried to attack the student’s father with a knife. But seeing the villagers coming, all the accused of rape fled away.

However, Superintendent of Police Amarkesh D has denied the incident of gang rape. He told that an attempt has been made to gang rape the student. Has been injured by assault. The victim is undergoing treatment. Two main accused have been arrested. Raids are being conducted to arrest other absconding accused.
