A 55-year-old man was beaten to death in Runnisaidpur of Sitamarhi district. The incident is from Baghari village of Runnisaidpur police station area. After the incident, sensation has spread in the area. The family members are crying inconsolably. On the other hand, on getting information about the incident, Runnisaidpur police station in-charge and SDPO Sadar Ramkrishna reached the spot and investigated the matter. At the same time, the body was taken into custody and sent to Sadar Hospital Sitamarhi for postmortem.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Janaki Mukhiya, a resident of Baghari village of the said police station area. Many different things are being said about the incident. At the same time, some people say that the murder has been done due to old enmity. The cousin of the deceased and other family members have accused two-three people of the village of carrying out the incident. The cousin of the deceased said that Shivam, son of Gyani of the same village, has killed him.
According to the deceased’s cousin, the accused Shivam said that Chulhai Bhagat had cast a spell on his mother. In this anger, Shivam reached Janaki Mukhiya’s house last night in search of Chulhai Bhagat. There he started abusing Chulhai Bhagat. When Janaki Mukhiya protested against the abuse, Shivam and his father Gyani caught hold of Janaki Mukhiya and took him somewhere else. Where he was murdered in the darkness of the night.
His body was recovered from the village fields on Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, DSP Ramakrishna said that at present the villagers and eyewitnesses have been talked to. The names of some people have also come to light. But, at present the investigation is going on. Only after this the matter will be cleared.
