In Motihari, Bihar, a young man going on a bike was shot in the head by unknown criminals, due to which he died on the spot. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case. The incident took place near Hardiya in Raghunathpur police station area. The deceased youth has been identified as Rajiv Ranjan (35), son of Vinod Patel, a resident of Majuraha New Kailash Nagar in Raghunathpur police station area.
According to the information, the deceased’s father Vinod Patel is a retired employee of the irrigation department. Vinod Patel said that Rajiv Ranjan left home on his bike at three o’clock. During this time, at seven o’clock, he called one of his cousins and told him to prepare food and that he was coming. Exactly one hour later, at eight o’clock, the family got the information that someone had shot Rajiv. When they went to the spot, they found his body lying soaked in blood. At the same time, his friend Pappu Singh, who was riding with him on the bike, was caught by the villagers. Rajiv’s father alleged that Pappu Singh has a complete hand in my son’s murder. It is not possible that a bullet was fired on the bike and my son got shot and he remained completely safe. He is also involved with the criminals. At present, the police have taken Pappu Singh into custody and are interrogating him.
According to the information, when Rajiv was going on his bike, a car took the side and slowed down in front of him. Meanwhile, three criminals riding a bike came from behind him and came close to him and shot him directly in the head. After being shot, Rajiv died on the spot.
It is being told that the deceased Rajiv has two brothers and two sisters. He was the youngest in the family. All of them are married. The elder brother is a software engineer. He used to stay at home and did not do any special work. However, it has come to light that he had once gone to jail in a case of ganja smuggling. He himself was also addicted to smoking ganja.
SP Kantesh Mishra said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team was sent to the spot, took the body in custody and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, the criminals are being identified from the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. However, the vehicle used in the murder has been identified. Soon all the criminals will be arrested. The reason behind the murder is emerging as a personal rivalry between the youth.
