Show cause notice has been issued to five teachers who did not obey the orders of KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar Education Department. Besides, one day’s salary has also been deducted. In fact, despite the strictness of the Education Department, the trend of unauthorized disappearance of teachers and staff from schools is not showing any signs of stopping. Daily surprise inspection of schools is going on as per the roster determined at the district level on departmental orders. In this connection, during the surprise inspection conducted on April 20 in Bathnaha, Dumra, Parsauni, Sonbarsa and Sursand of Sitamarhi district, five teachers and staff were found absent from the school without any information. After that the inspection officer reported to the senior officer.

The list of five teachers and staff who were found absent in the school without notice during the surprise inspection has been sent to the department by the DEO. Among them, Mavi of Bathnaha. Chanda Kumari, teacher of Kamaldah, Pvt. of Dumra. Rita Kumari of Ramnagar, Upgraded U.P. of Parsauni. Sunita Kumari of Parsauni Khirodhar, Pvt. of Sonbarsa. Meena Kumari of Rajwada Scheduled Caste Toll and Umavi of Sursand. Shikha Kumari of Dadhabari is included.

In this case, the DEO has deducted one day’s salary of the teachers and staff found missing on the report of the concerned BEO and the inspection officer and sent its information to the department. Also, clarification has been asked in case of absence without notice. It has been told that now further action has to be taken against the concerned teachers through the state level department itself. In such a situation, the teachers who remain missing from school unauthorized are no longer in good health. If experts are to be believed, the department at the state level may have to go through a very long process to free the concerned teachers and staff from taking action.
