The Ganga river is wreaking havoc in Begusarai. Many villages have come under its grip. Lakhs of people are forced to migrate to safer places somehow. The rising water level has not only cut off the connectivity of one village to another. Rather, the entire area has turned into an island. This is the condition of Ramdiri ward number 17 of the municipal corporation area of Begusarai. The condition is such that people who have been starving for many days are migrating with their children to safer places, sometimes on foot and sometimes by swimming.

Not only this, some people have been forced to live on the roof of their houses. People say that they have been hungry and thirsty for many days. But, the district administration and public representatives are sitting idle. This situation caused by the flood should be brought to the notice of not only the local administration but also the government and relief should be provided to the common people. Floods come every year and bring devastation with them. In this scene of devastation, who knows how many homes are destroyed. And many people lose their lives. The district administration says that the water level in the Ganga has increased considerably. Due to this, flood water has entered the villages adjacent to the Ganga. DM Tushar Singhla himself is inspecting the flood-affected villages. The DM said that the district administration is continuously making available the government facilities for the flood victims.
