Actually the preliminary examination of 68th BPSC is to be held on 12th February. Many improvements have been made for this. This time the exam will be for the first time with negative marking. A total of 805 examination centers will be set up for this examination to be held in 38 districts. A total of 434661 candidates will appear in this examination, in which the number of female candidates is about one and a half lakh, while the number of disabled candidates is about 7 thousand. This time the number of posts is also only 324. The good thing is that for the first time in this examination, the examination of Divyang candidates will be taken in the home center. Along with this, their examination will be taken by sitting in one place at the examination center. This information was given by Ravi Bhushan, Secretary and Control of Examinations, BPSC.

How and when the question papers will be given

Explaining the reason for the question paper not being leaked, Ravi Bhushan said that half an hour before the commencement of the examination i.e. exactly at 11:30 am, in the presence of the two preferred observers and the static magistrate cum observer deputed by the District Magistrate, the Center Superintendent, in the presence of the sealed steel of the question booklet The box will be kept in a room of the examination center and will be opened only in front of those candidates whose complete videography will also be done. He said that from the point of view of security, it has now been ensured that the TES bag containing the question booklet will not be opened by the Center Superintendent under any circumstances. It will be opened in the examination hall at 11.50 am in front of the examinees. After this, the question book will be distributed from 11.30 am and the bell will be rung to start the examination at 12.00 pm.

When and till when the candidates have to come to the examination center

The entry time of the candidates inside the examination center will start from 9.30 am and the entry will be closed one hour before the commencement of the examination.

The center for Divyang candidates will also be a home center like women. Arrangement of scribe will also be available at the examination centers for such candidates. The scribe will be of intermediate level. Extra time of 40 minutes will be given to all physically challenged candidates.

Marking will be done like this

There will be negative marking in PT. That is, one mark will be deducted for answering four questions wrongly. He also told that this exam will also be held with E-option only.

BPSC Secretary and Examination Control Ravi Bhushan told that those who bring any unwanted gazette etc. will be debarred for 5 years. Along with this, he also said that the candidates who spread any kind of exam-related rumors will be debarred from the examination for three years and those found involved in malpractices will be debarred from the examination for five years. Bihar Public Service Commission will inform about this to all other PCS as well as UPSC.
