The Scorpio returning from Prashant Kishor’s public meeting suddenly caught fire. As soon as the fire broke out, there was chaos. In a hurry, with the help of the people around, the people in the Scorpio were taken out of the car. The incident took place in Fatuha of Patna district. The local people informed the fire brigade about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and somehow extinguished the fire in the Scorpio. But by then the Scorpio had been burnt to ashes.
Scorpio started burning
Regarding the incident, the people in the car told that there were four people in the Scorpio including the driver. All of them had come from Katihar to Patna to attend Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj program in Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. Scorpio driver Mohammad Saddam, a resident of Katihar, told that after the program was over, they were returning to Katihar with the convoy. While returning from Patna to Katihar, when the car reached near Chhapak Water Park, a driver of another vehicle overtook and pointed out smoke coming out of the Scorpio. By the time the driver stopped the Scorpio, the Scorpio had caught fire. Flames started coming out of the bonnet of the Scorpio. All the people in the Scorpio saved their lives by jumping out of the car. Driver Mohammad Saddam told that the car caught fire due to a short circuit in the engine of the Scorpio.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as the information of the incident was received, Fatuha police station in-charge Rupak Kumar Ambuj reached the spot with his team. Due to this incident, there was a traffic jam for about half an hour. Then the police somehow got the jam cleared. Police station in-charge Rupak Kumar Ambuj said that there were no casualties in this incident. With the help of the people around, all the people in the Scorpio were taken out of the car in time.
