A home guard jawan posted at Pratapganj police station in Bihar’s Supaul district died of cardiac arrest while on patrol on Saturday night. However, till he was taken to Pratapganj Hospital. The doctor declared him dead. On hearing the news of the death, there was uproar among the relatives of the deceased. At the same time, Pratapganj police sent the dead body to Sadar Hospital Supaul for postmortem and got involved in further action.

According to the information, Brahmdev Yadav (53), a resident of Giripatti ward number seven of Raghopur block of the district, was working at Pratapganj police station as a home guard. Shambhu Yadav, the son of the deceased told that my father was shifted from Ganpatganj camp to Pratapganj police station last 10 days ago. At the same time, he was doing duty sitting in a police car for patrolling at night. In the meantime, when he had chest pain, his colleagues took him to Pratapganj Health Center. Where my father died during treatment. Here, after the death of the Home Guard jawan, the family has become mournful.

Confirming this, Pratapganj Police Station President Abhishek Anjan said that the home guard jawan suddenly started coughing as soon as he left for patrol. The accompanying officer informed us that Home Guard jawan Brahmdev Yadav was coughing profusely and became unconscious while coughing. We immediately asked to be taken to the hospital. On reaching the hospital, the doctor said that the jawan had died of a heart attack. Relatives told that the young man was a diabetes patient from the past. At present, legal action is being taken by sending the dead body to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
