Bihar State Health Society (SHS) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 4,500 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) in the state. Interested and eligible candidates can apply till November 21, 2024. The application process for these posts is now on the official website of Bihar State Health Society. https://shs.bihar.gov.in But it has already started.
A total of 4,500 posts will be appointed in this recruitment. Of these, 979 posts are for unreserved (General) category candidates, while 245 posts are reserved for EWS (Economically Weaker Section). 1,243 posts have been earmarked for Scheduled Caste (SC), 55 for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 1,170 for Economically Backward Class. Apart from this, 640 posts are reserved for BC (Backward Class), 168 posts are reserved for WBC (Women Backward Class).
educational qualification
Under educational qualification, candidates must have BSc Nursing degree from a recognized university and six months Certificate Course in Community Health certificate issued by Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
age limit
To apply for the post of Community Health Officer, the minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 21 years and the maximum age limit has been fixed at 42 years for male candidates of general and EWS category and 45 years for female candidates. Whereas for SC, ST category candidates the age limit has been kept up to 47 years.
This much application fee will have to be paid
The application fee has been determined differently for different categories. Male candidates of General, EWS, BC and EBC categories will have to pay a fee of Rs 500, while for female candidates this fee will be Rs 250. All candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWBD (Persons with Disabilities) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250.
salary
Candidates selected for the post of Community Health Officer will get a salary of Rs 40,000 per month.
Selection will be like this
Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination and interview, followed by document verification and medical examination.
