Voting for the eight seats of the sixth phase in Bihar has ended. The percentage of voting was less this time as compared to the fifth phase. Not only this, if we compare the voting on these eight seats in 2019, this time the voting was about 3.02 percent less. Last time 58.47 percent voting took place. This time it was 54.45 percent. According to Chief Electoral Officer HR Srinivas, so far the highest voting of 59.75 percent took place in West Champaran. Due to vote boycott at some booths, Gopalganj recorded 50.70 percent voting. At the same time, 58.50 percent voting took place in Vaishali, 56.30 percent in Shivhar, 57.30 percent in East Champaran, 58.25 percent in Valmikinagar, and 51.27 percent in Maharajganj. A total of 55.45 percent voting took place on all eight seats.
135 VVPATs were replaced after the mock poll
According to the Election Commission, a total of 17,911 control units, 17,940 ballot units and 19,458 VVPATs including reserves were used in the sixth phase of elections, out of which 46 control units, 50 ballot units and 135 VVPATs were replaced during the mock poll. Whereas 44 control units, 44 ballot units and 190 VVPATs were replaced after the mock poll. Voting was boycotted in Gopalganj.
