After counting of votes in 26 rounds, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has gained a lead of 102263 votes over RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjit. On the other hand, the former CM is also ahead of the RJD candidate in the counting of postal ballots. The postal ballots are being matched once again by the polling staff. So that there is no mistake in the counting and this is just a quorum. Because only about 3000 postal ballots were used in Gaya.
The most special thing about this vote counting was that from the very first round, former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi maintained a lead over his rival RJD candidate and Bodh Gaya MLA Kumar Sarvjit. As soon as the counting of votes for Bodh Gaya Assembly took place in the ninth round and the NDA candidate got a lead of 22 thousand, RJD candidate Kumar Sarvjit left the counting center.
