Talking about building a grand temple at the birthplace of Mata Janaki in Sitamarhi, BJP MP from Darbhanga, who is on tour, Gopal Thakur said that the birthplace of Mata Janaki is a cultural and spiritual heritage for 8.5 crore Mithila residents. The NDA government at the center and the state is determined to build a grand and divine Janaki temple like Ayodhya in Punauradham and install the statue of Mata Janaki in it. We will strongly approach the Central Government for the provision of Rs 500 crore announced by the country’s PM Narendra Modi in this budget for the development of this region.

Describing the release of the Constitution in Janaki’s language Maithili as a big achievement, he said that today Mata Janaki, who has been established as a symbol of strength and ideal for the Mithila region, is being glorified. In this sequence, after taking blessings from Mahant Kaushal Kishore Das Maharaj in the temple premises, various types of information related to this temple was obtained. Also participated in the medical camp under the ongoing Late Sushil Modi Seva Week in the temple premises. During this, clarifying the dedication of Modi government and Nitish government for Mithila and Maithili, he said that on December 13, CM Nitish Kumar had laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 72.45 crore.
