In Khagaria district, the chief’s Scorpio hit two youths. In the incident, one youth died on the spot. While the other youth is seriously injured. He has been sent to Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur for treatment. The incident is said to have happened on Monday night. After the incident, there was a stir in the area. According to the information, Mohammad Shahabuddin, 35-year-old son of Mohammad Babar, resident of Qutubpur of Mufassil police station area and his associate Mohammad Salim, son of Mohammad Mazhar, both were returning home by e-rickshaw after doing business. Meanwhile, a speeding Scorpio hit the e-rickshaw from the front near Dhusmuri Bishanpur Raman brick kiln of Mufassil police station area. Due to which Mohammad Shahabuddin died on the spot while his associate Mohammad Salim was injured.
The driver was drunk
According to the people present at the scene, the Scorpio driver was driving the vehicle at a high speed under the influence of alcohol. He hit the e-rickshaw from the front. It is being told that the Scorpio belongs to Yashpal Kumar alias Vikas Kumar, the Mukhiya of Barai Ghat Panchayat of Alauli police station area. People say that at the time when this incident happened, the Mukhiya, his driver and two-three other people were sitting in the Scorpio. It is being told that after the incident, the Mukhiya and his associates fled leaving the vehicle. However, the police have seized the Scorpio from the scene. The Mufassil police station chief said that the Scorpio has been seized after the incident. Also, the post-mortem of the deceased’s body has been done. After the family members submitted an application in the case, a primary case has been registered and legal action is being taken.
