Reena Devi defeated her husband’s killer
Here, Reena Devi defeated Radheshyam Tiwari for the post of Chief Ward Councilor from Narkatiaganj Municipal Council. This is the same Radheshyam, who is accused of killing Rajesh Srivastava, husband of Reena Devi. Ashwani Kumar won the post of chairman in the newly formed Machhargaon Nagar Panchayat. Here, out of 32 winners of Deputy Chief Councillor, the number of men is 19. Of the 32 winners of Chief Councilor, 17 are men. This election was held in the seats where elections could not be held due to any reason or whose posts were vacant due to the untimely death of the winners.
Patna mayor’s daughter-in-law won by 1602 votes
Of the total 805 winners, 458 are female and 347 are male. This time in Bihar, the Mayor (Chief Councillor) has also been directly elected by the common voters in the municipal elections. Mayor Sita Sahu’s daughter-in-law Shweta Kumar defeated her rival Pooja Kumari by 1602 votes in the ward 58 councilor election of Patna Municipal Corporation. Arun Rai won the post of first mayor of Madhubani Municipal Corporation and Amanullah Khan won the post of deputy mayor. Arun Rai got a total of 22566 votes, while Aslam Ansari, who stood second, got 13699 votes.
