A huge banyan tree more than 100 years old suddenly fell down in Gaya city. The tree was so huge that after falling, it engulfed the roof of the primary middle school and two nearby houses. The house of the primary middle school was badly damaged after the tree fell on the roof. The incident took place near the Shiva temple located in Nai Sadak Mohalla of Vishnupad police station area.
People were frightened by the sound of falling trees
Regarding the incident, the local people say that at the time of the incident, all the family members were sitting in the house. Then suddenly the sound of a huge tree falling made the people around panic and wondered what had happened. Due to the falling of the tree, many parts of the house were completely shattered. Two shops were also completely damaged. However, luckily there were no casualties in this incident.

Regarding the incident, Jan Suraj Morcha leader Anjani Verma said that this old banyan tree is more than 100 years old. He said that it was never felt that such a strong tree would suddenly fall. He said that many people often sit on the platform built under the tree. All the branches of the tree are very long and huge. This entire area is the Pitrupaksha Mela area. Pilgrims keep coming here every day. There are many shops near the tree, but due to it being Sunday, all the shops were closed at the time of the incident, due to which no untoward incident happened. Surprisingly, a Shivling is installed under the banyan tree. After the tree fell, two houses, two shops and a government school were damaged. There was no damage to the established temple.
What would happen if there was no Sunday?
Local people say that there is a primary middle school near the incident spot. More than a hundred children come to study in the said school. If this incident had happened on any other day except Sunday, it would have been a huge tragedy. Local people informed the concerned department about the incident but even after several hours no official reached the incident spot. Due to this, anger is being seen among the local people.
