A teacher died tragically in a road accident near Kalali Chowk of Singhia Bazaar in Singhia police station area of ​​Samastipur district on Wednesday late evening. The deceased teacher has been identified as Siddheshwar Pandit, a teacher working in the primary school Borhi of the police station area. The teacher was going to the market to buy vegetables on a bicycle. On receiving the news of the incident, angry people blocked the road with the dead body. Due to which the movement of vehicles on this road remained halted till midnight. Due to which people had to face a lot of trouble. After a long time, the road jam ended on the intervention of local police and public representatives. Later the police seized the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital at night for post-mortem.

It was told that the deceased teacher was a resident of Sheikhpura district, who was working in the primary school Borhi since 2013. He was living in Singhiya with his family in a rented house. Late in the evening, after returning from school, he was going to buy vegetables on a bicycle, when a truck coming at a high speed crushed him. He died on the spot. After the incident, the truck driver who was running away was chased and caught by the people, who was later handed over to the police. The people blocking the road were demanding proper compensation for the victim’s family. Meanwhile, the police has informed other members of his family in Sheikhpura about the incident.

Teacher leaders Krishna Kumar Singh, Raju Singh, Rakesh Singh, Kundan Singh and hundreds of other teachers reached the spot and expressed their deep condolences.
