A incident of acid attack has come to light in Maheshpur under Pipra police station area of Supaul district. Three people have been severely scorched in this attack. The injured were admitted to the Community Health Center (CHC) of Pipra for treatment. From where one has been referred after first aid due to the condition of one being critical. The incident is being reported late Wednesday night.

The family members of the victim side allege that their land dispute is going on with some people in the neighborhood. Construction work was being done by the other party on Wednesday night on this disputed land. Family members claim that the matter related to land dispute is pending in the court. Therefore, the family had reached to stop the construction work. But during this time, people from the other side started fighting. In this sequence, people of that side started throwing acids. Maheshpur ward 8 residents Ravindra Sah, Ashok Sah and Rohit Sah were scorched due to acid. Here, as soon as the incident was reported, other families also reached the spot and admitted all the injured to the Community Health Center for treatment. However, after the first aid here, Rohit was referred to Sadar Hospital Supaul in view of the critical condition.

One of the three injured is in critical condition

Dr. Shailendra Kumar, who was on duty at the Pipra Community Health Center, said that three people were injured in an acid attack. They have been primary. Rohit, who was seriously injured in the same incident, has been referred to Higher Center. Rohit’s face is badly scorched. Here, Pipra Police Station Rajesh Kumar Jha said that the information of the incident has been received through the media. However, no application has been received from any side yet. Necessary action will be ensured on receiving the application.
