Prashant Kishor, who was on fast unto death since January 2 in support of BPSC candidates, suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday morning. A team of doctors from Medanta Hospital, Patna reached Sheikhpura House to check PK’s health. Seeing the condition, the team of doctors suggested taking him to the hospital. After this his supporters took him in an ambulance to Medanta Hospital. His treatment continues here.

Supporters of Prashant Kishore say that he was talking to people till 10 am on Tuesday. After some time he suddenly became unconscious. After this, we brought him back to consciousness by splashing water on his face. Doctors were called immediately. After examination, the doctors advised him to go to the hospital. Some other things including dehydration have come to light. It will become clear only after investigation.
Let us tell you that Prashant Kishore, who was on fast unto death at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, was arrested by Patna Police at around 4 am on Monday morning. After about five hours, he was taken to Fatuha CHC for examination. But, PK refused the health checkup. After this, Patna Police presented him in the civil court. Patna Police filed a case against Prashant Kishor accusing him of obstructing government work and protesting without permission. The court heard the case. PK granted bail on PR bond. But, Prashant Kishore said that I do not want bail on any condition. The court has clearly said that if the bond is not paid then you will have to go to jail. Prashant Kishore said in the court that protesting is our basic right. We can do this for social reasons. Prashant Kishore told the court that you should grant him bail but I will not accept the conditions. I will not even pay a personal bond of Rs 25 thousand. He was also sent to Beur jail. But, after some time, the police released him after the court order was modified. The court removed all the conditions. Prashant Kishore was released on Monday night itself.
After release, Prashant Kishore said that the police took me to Beur jail, but it did not have such order. Therefore, these people could not take me inside the jail. With my acquittal, the court told that some ‘hero’ type officers of the government or police administration cannot destroy the democratic system. While granting me unconditional release, the court made it clear that protesting and fasting at Gandhi Maidan is not a crime on the basis of which I or people like me can be arrested.
Prashant Kishore announced to continue the movement. He said that the movement started for the students will continue until they get justice. He said that my fast was there yesterday also, is there today also and will continue in future also. My fast will not end until complete justice is done to the children. PK said that if the matter started from Gandhi Maidan, now the matter will end in the Maidan also. This matter will now be settled there itself. He said that this is not about Prashant Kishore, but the insistence of the youth of Bihar. There is a fight between the stubbornness of Nitish Kumar and the stubbornness of the youth of Bihar. Only the youth of Bihar will win. The officers here should also know this and the BJP government should also know this.
