On receiving the information, District Assistant Fire Officer Satyendra Prasad reached the spot with fire personnel and a fire engine and started controlling the situation. However, there is no report of any casualty in the incident. The incident is of Mahua Cold Storage located in the Industrial Area of Industrial Police Station area.

Employees say that on late Monday night, the ammonia gas pipeline of Mahua Cold Storage in Industrial Police Station area got leaked, due to which gas started leaking. On getting information about the gas leak, there was panic among the people nearby. The employees and guards posted in the cold storage immediately informed the fire brigade about it. On getting the information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the situation by stopping the leakage.

Earlier also, more than half a dozen people fell ill due to ammonia gas leakage in a dairy plant in the industrial area. In this regard, Assistant District Fire Officer Satyendra Prasad said that information was received about ammonia gas leakage in Mahua Cold Storage in the industrial area. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and repaired the leakage pipeline. No one has suffered any harm in this case.
