After the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, BJP has released the list of candidates for all 17 seats of Bihar on Sunday. BJP has once again expressed confidence in RK Singh for the Lok Sabha election. BJP has given ticket to RK Singh from Arrah Lok Sabha seat for the third consecutive time. However, RK Singh had already claimed to contest the elections from Arrah Lok Sabha seat. On September 24, RK Singh had made two things clear in a statement in Patna and said that he would contest the elections from Arrah only. He had also rejected rumors of the possibility of being made the Governor.
RK Singh is Bhojpur’s first choice
BJP has once again expressed confidence in RK Singh and has fielded him to score a hat-trick of victories. However, it is not yet clear who is going to contest in opposition from Arrah. In the past months, this seat was considered to be RJD’s and there was a lot of talk about Lalu’s close aide getting a ticket. But now it is coming to light that here the MLA is demanding a ticket. However, it is not yet clear which candidate wants to contest the elections in opposition to RK Singh. Whereas in Ara, RK Singh has emerged as the first choice of the people. Now his ticket from Arrah has been finalized and voting for the Lok Sabha elections is to be held in Arrah on June 1.
RK Singh won twice with a huge majority
RK Singh, who has been a two-time MP from Arrah, is contesting for the third time. Ara Lok Sabha seat is considered to be his favorite seat. Former IAS officer RK Singh had joined the BJP party in 2013. After that, the 2014 Lok Sabha elections were fought from Arrah and in the Modi wave, RK Singh defeated RJD candidate Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha by about 1 lakh 35 thousand 870 votes and BJP captured the Arrah Lok Sabha seat. After that, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there was a direct contest between CPI(ML) Party candidate Raju Yadav and BJP’s RK Singh on Ara Lok Sabha seat, in which Raju Yadav had to face a crushing defeat by 1 lakh 47 thousand 285 votes. After both the election victories, RK Singh was also a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet at the Centre.
For this reason, RK Singh is the favorite MP of Bhojpur district.
After all, why are the people of Arrah city liking RK Singh? After joining BJP in 2013, RK Singh Ara contested Lok Sabha elections for the first time in 2014. During that time he had made many promises of development to the people. On which people stood up and made RK Singh win by a huge vote. After winning the election, RK Singh fulfilled his first promise. To overcome the problem of severe traffic jam in Koilwar, he got a six-line road bridge constructed, after that, electricity problem in Arrah city, over bridge at Purwari Gumti, stoppage of many important trains, platform number four, Ramana Maidan. Beautification of Veer Kunwar Singh Park, river station, Ara – Buxar and Ara – Mohania road, Ara Washing Peeth, canal paving, new construction of clock tower, construction of cultural building, engineering college along with other important development works. Which has been completed by RK Singh.
