Police had arrested the Arms Act accused today. He died within two hours of his arrest. After the death the family members created a ruckus. During this time the family members also got into an altercation with the SP at the spot. The whole matter is of Sharma Tola of Bidwara under Kasim Bazar police station area of Munger district. The deceased has been identified as Moti Kumar Sharma.

Family members created a ruckus in the police station premises
Regarding the incident, local people say that today at around 6 pm, on the information of Police Arms of Kasim Bazar, a house was raided in Sharma Tola of Bidwara. During the raid, the police arrested Moti Kumar Sharma with arms and then the police brought him to Qasim Bazar police station. After some time, the health of arrested Moti Sharma started deteriorating. The police hurriedly took him to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment. After the death of Moti Sharma, the family members became angry and surrounded the police station in the form of a crowd and started raising slogans against the police administration. Seeing the anger of the family, police from several police stations including SP Syed Imran Masood and Sadar SDPO Rajesh Kumar reached Qasim Bazar police station. The SP tried to convince the family members but during this they started pushing and shoving the SP. However, the SP’s bodyguard stopped them. After much effort for several hours, the family members were pacified.
Family members made serious allegations
The family members allege that the information was given to the police by police informer Chhotu and Sushil. Police of Kasim Bazar police station raided and arrested Moti Kumar Sharma. Family members allege that after bringing him to the police station, two informers Chhotu and Sushil, who came with him, beat Moti Sharma severely with sticks. Due to this reason Moti Sharma’s health deteriorated. Then in a hurry the police brought Moti Sharma to the police station, where he died.
SP gave assurance of investigation
The family members have appealed to the SP to arrest the police informers who came with the police. The same SP Syed Imran Masood said that Qasim Bazar police station had received information that a person works in making arms in Bindwada Sharma Tola. On this information, the police reached there and raided the house of Moti Kumar Sharma, where the police recovered a pistol and weapon making equipment. Police arrested Moti Kumar Sharma in this case. After coming to the police station, his health started deteriorating, after which the police officers took him to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment. He said that in the past also he had gone to jail in the Arms Act case. He said that post-mortem of the dead body will be conducted. Action will be taken by registering FIR on the application given by the relatives of the deceased who are making allegations.
