Budget beneficial for Mithilanchal-Kosi

The Finance Minister has proposed a Western Koshi Canal Project in Mithilanchal. Financial assistance will be provided for these projects. This will benefit the farmers here. 50 thousand hectares of land will get the benefit of irrigation. This will also help in reducing the tragedy of floods. In addition, Mithilanchal-Kosi was identified in the Union Budget, a major announcement related to ‘Makhana’. The Finance Minister proposed the Makhana Board in Bihar. This board will be made for marketing of Makhana. Till now, there is no market system for farmers producing Makhana in Kosi-Mithilanchal. Through this board, direct market should be provided to Makhana farmers. The Finance Minister said that efforts will be made that all the government schemes should benefit these farmers. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that Makhana Board will be established in Bihar to improve the production, processing, price promotion and marketing of Makhana (Fox Nut). Presenting the Union Budget 2025-26, the Finance Minister said, ‘Makhana farmers will also be worked to assist and ensure that they get the benefit of all relevant government schemes.

Preparations to avoid siege on employment issue

Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav is preparing to surround the National Democratic Alliance government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the upcoming election and this budget also shows preparations to weaken that siege. In the budget, the proposal to increase the footwear-chasa industry with the creation of National Food Technology and Entrepreneurship and Management Institute in Bihar is a proof. The National Food Technology and Entrepreneurship and Management Institute will help in providing different types of markets to agricultural products in Bihar. Many types of products will be prepared from Bihar’s grains here and this will also reveal great employment possibilities. The Finance Minister also said that it will help strengthen food processing capabilities in the eastern region. This will increase the quality of the products of farmers and increase their income. Also, there will be opportunities for youth to get skills, entrepreneurship and employment. The Finance Minister hoped to promote footwear and leather industries and provide employment to 2.2 million people.

Announcement of Green Field Airport; Nitish government will tell the place

The Finance Minister announced the Green Field Airport in Bihar to meet the future needs. This project will be different from Patna Airport and Brown Field Airport Bihta. It is believed that where it will be made, a proposal will be taken from the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar. Meaning, the state government will take a decision on this.

IIT Patna also plan to expand

In the budget, the Finance Minister announced that the capacity of Indian Institute of Technology in Patna is being increased. Additional infrastructure will be created in IITs. Hostels will be constructed. Also, IIT Patna at Bihta will be expanded.
