Many top officers of Bihar Police have been transferred. On his return from Delhi, famous IPS officer Kundan Krishnan has been made Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters). He had returned from central deputation and was waiting for posting. Jitendra Singh Gangwar has been relieved of the charge of Director General (Headquarters). He is the Director General, Civil Defence. The notification was issued by the Reserve Branch of the Home Department on Tuesday afternoon.
DIG of Bhagalpur range was also changed
Seven senior IPS officers have been transferred in the state. DIG of Bhagalpur range has also been changed. Vivek Kumar has been given the command of Bhagalpur DIG. Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bhagalpur, Eastern Region, Vivekananda has been given the responsibility of the post of Deputy Inspector General in Special Task Force, Patna.
IPS officer Pankaj Darad gets new responsibility
Whereas 1995 batch IPS officer Pankaj Darad has been made Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order). He will also be the Additional Director General of Police of the Special Surveillance Unit. Sanjay Singh, posted as Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), has been given the responsibility of the post of Additional Director General of Police (Training). Here, 2001 IPS officer Shaleen, posted as Inspector General in Bihar Special Armed Police, has now been made Inspector General of Anti-Terrorism Squad. However, he will also hold additional charge of the post of Inspector General in Bihar Special Armed Police till further orders.
