Usury was the main reason behind the murder of the father of former Bihar minister and Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahni. Many things were coming up, but finally the police has said that usury was the reason behind the murder. Two days ago, the police arrested Kazim Ansari, an accused who had taken money on interest and did not return it. The other three were in custody. After interrogation, their arrest has now been confirmed. But, with this, the police has brought forward many things. The box and the papers on which the people of Mukesh Sahni’s party had raised questions by meeting DGP RS Bhatti on Thursday have also been disclosed.
Another angle was also checked because of 38 empty pouches
According to the police, after the murder of Jeetan Sahni, 38 empty pouches of country liquor were recovered from the house. The FSL team is investigating whether there was liquor in it or not. The police took time for the rest of the interrogation because after the theft, the angle of usury and then liquor came to the fore. Now the police is not saying anything about the rumour of liquor business, but is not denying the possibility of drinking alcohol. Out of the documents recovered by the police, 21 are related to lending money on interest. Out of the three accused of murder who were said to be arrested on Friday, two of them also had taken money from Jeetan Sahni on interest like Qazim Ansari.
Another accused’s land and bike were mortgaged
On Friday, Darbhanga SSP Jagunath Reddy announced the arrest of three people, namely Mohd. Sitara alias Chhedi, Mohd. Azam and Mohd. Chhote Laheri. He said that 38 liquor pouches were recovered from the deceased’s house, which have been sent to FSL for investigation. The SSP said that 24 documents were recovered from a red box recovered from behind the deceased’s house. Two of them are land documents, while 21 are related to the transaction of money. Arrested accused Mohd. Sitara (25 years, father- Mustaq Laheri) told the police that he had taken 20 thousand rupees on interest from Jeetan Sahni, for which his bike and land papers were mortgaged. The second arrested accused Mohd. Chhote Laheri (22 years, father- Mohd. Oli Laheri) had taken six thousand rupees on interest from Jeetan Sahni. The third accused Mohd. Azam (Mohd. Farooq) had gone to carry out the incident to help the main accused of this murder, Kazim Ansari, Sitara and Chhote. This has also been confirmed in CCTV footage.
