In Saran, a married woman was brutally beaten to death by her in-laws. The incident took place in Husse Chhapra locality of Nagar police station area. On receiving information about the murder, the father and brother of the deceased reached their daughter’s in-laws house and informed the city police station. As soon as information about the incident was received, the city police reached the spot, but did not take any action. At present all the members of the in-laws side are absconding.
Police accused of negligence
In this regard, Shivnath Das, resident of Yadavpur village under Baikunthpur police station area of Gopalganj district, father of the deceased Beauty Kumari, said that a written application has also been given to the city police station regarding the murder of his daughter. But the police of the concerned police station did not consider it appropriate to register an FIR. Also, the police neither prepared the Panchnama of the dead body nor took any action. The police casually said to come to the police station at 8:00 am on Monday morning. The situation is that the police did not send the body for post-mortem till 9:00 on Monday, due to which the condition of the body has become quite frightening. The deceased’s in-laws are said to be absconding after the incident.
Reconciliation was done several times
Shivnath Das, father of the deceased Beauty Kumari, told that his daughter was married to Vijay Kumar, son of Yugal Kishore Prasad, a retired Inspector of Excise Department, resident of Husse Chhapra Mohalla of Nagar police station area under Saran district, as per Hindu customs on 27 April 2018. From whom two sons were also born. After marriage, they started beating and harassing her for dowry. A week ago also my daughter Beauty was assaulted. After being informed about this by the neighbours, we came to meet and somehow after mediation a compromise was reached. But the process of harassing the daughter had started again.
murdered and hanged from fan
The deceased’s father says that this time my daughter’s mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband brutally beat her to death. However, with the intention of hiding the evidence, the body has been hung by tying a saree to the fan. After this incident, everyone left the house and ran away. After the murder, when no action was taken by the police of the local city police station, an appeal was made to the Superintendent of Police Dr. Kumar Ashish. Then an FIR was registered and the post mortem was sent to Sadar Hospital.
