CCTV footage of the hooliganism of a municipal corporation ward councillor has surfaced in Muzaffarpur, in which the ward councillor is seen entering a hardware shop with his supporters and beating and abusing the shopkeeper. In the CCTV footage, he pointed a pistol at the shopkeeper during this time. During this, audio along with video has also been recorded in the CCTV. The victim party has lodged a complaint in this regard at the Sadar police station.

The entire incident is of Gobarsahi NH of Sadar police station area of ​​the district. Where CCTV footage of assault and abuse of the owner of a hardware shop has come to light. The person in this footage has been identified as Abhimanyu Chauhan, councilor of Municipal Corporation Ward No. 10. It is being told that he got furious with his neighbor and hardware shopkeeper over some issue and started beating him. The ward councilor slapped a person on the cheek and abused him in this incident. During this, the ward councilor lost his temper and took out a pistol from his waist and pointed it at him. Regarding this incident, Jitendra Kumar, the owner of the hardware shop, has filed an application in Sadar police station against ward councilor Abhimanyu Chauhan and his brother and about 20 to 25 unknown people.

In the application given by the victim, it was told that my younger brother Shubham Kumar runs a building material shop named S.K. Traders & Hardware near Gobarsahi Chowk. Late night, he was getting the cleaning work done at his shop for Vishwakarma Puja and then the accused along with 20-25 accused came to the shop and entered the shop while abusing me and his staff.

In this entire case, Nagar Nigam Ward Councilor and accused Abhimanyu Chauhan said that my shop and his shop are nearby. There was a dispute going on from before. Late night some unknown people reached near my shop with cutter and other material. These people were engaged in damaging the shop. We opposed it. After which we went to the shop and explained to all the people. But all those people started abusing. After which the argument increased and our people opposed it. We have also lodged a complaint regarding this.

In this entire case, SHO of Sadar police station Ashmit Kumar said that an application has been received in which it is being said that people entered the shop and beat them up. CCTV footage has been provided by one party. Legal action will be taken after investigating this matter.
